I
couldn't have had a better
experience buying a puppy from River's Edge Mastiffs. My
husband and I
were able to meet the parents of the puppy prior to making any
decisions, we
weren't rushed into making a decision. After deciding to
purchase the
puppy for not only as a great addition to our family, but also as a
show dog,
we were fully supported in our efforts. We fully expected to
take our
puppy home with us, never to hear from the breeder again. But
just a few
days later, Chris called to check and see how everything was.
Chris was
always there to answer questions, offer smart advice and was a friend
to listen
to
when we needed encouragement.
Even today, Chris is a dear friend that still provides help at the
shows,
advice on the phone and support to me as one of her "puppy
owners."

Ivan Henri is the perfect example of how, when a puppy comes from a

concerns. He came home and within a week, he knew how to be a

We
purchased
our Mastiff from Chris at Rivers Edge Mastiffs in September of
2005. My
husband and I began attending dog shows to search for the breed of dog
we
wanted, and when we came to the Mastiff ring, we knew we were in for
it!
They were such a sweet gentle breed, and how could you resist that face!
When we were introduced to Chris, and came out to her place to meet the
puppies, I knew we found the right breeder. Chris is so kind,
fun and such
a family oriented person, with the dogs at the center of it all, you
knew you
would get a great puppy reared from a lot of love! And boy
did we!
I had no idea the connection I would have with my dog when I left there
in
September. Nelson, our boy, is such a sweet loving animal and
so gentle;
people are so shocked when they meet him. It is an instant
love
connection!
He is
a hit in our neighborhood! We live a great community with
lots of kids,
and parks, and we walk him everyday for socialization.
Everyone in the
neighborhood and beyond knows him by name! Kids come running
when they
see to pet him; you can even hear them shouting him name from the
school bus
when they pass! There is a cop in our city who just adores
him and when
he is patrolling around, I swear he comes around our neighborhood to
say “Hi”
to Nelson, just hoping we are out for a walk! A cousin of
ours came to
visit a client that lives in our area, and he mentioned he was coming
over to
see his cousin and his big dog after their visit, and the client said,
“Oh, you
don’t mean Nelson, do you? We love
Nelson!” Our cousin was cracking
up; he said Nelson sure has a reputation in this area!
Needless
to say, I have found the breed that I will live with for the rest of my
life. Nelson is our best friend, and I can not imagine
connecting more
with a dog than I have with Nelson. We are expecting our
first child in
October, and know he is going to be a great “big
brother”!
